Pastor's Endorsement
It is an honor to endorse the exciting work of the Reverend Desiré P. Grogan, Revelations from the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Reverend Grogan’s preaching and teaching display an unquestioned anointing of the Holy Spirit. For seven years I was privileged to attend a number of the classes she presented at Shiloh where the ideas for this book originated. These classes were always well attended, and I witnessed an amazing effect: The Revelation, arguably one of the Bible’s most difficult books, became a real-life tool for people to understand and apply its truths to their lives.
Reverend Grogan does not shy away from the difficult passages, nor does she sugar coat the challenges they offer for all who walk the pilgrim pathway. With all the anxiety facing churches of all denominations, this book provides much practical clarity for a world where the light of truth grows ever dimmer.
Reverend Grogan offers light and hope by wading into the Revelation’s perplexity and then showing how its message is a word for us today.

What Endorsers Are Saying about the Book ...
Dr. Gay L. Byron
Rev. Grogan has provided a thorough and engaging commentary on the book of Revelation. Though intended for the faithful in the pews, this book provides critical analysis of biblical terms that ministers, and other critical interpreters of the Bible would find useful. She has combined her insights from years of teaching, prophetic ministry, and education in biblical languages and literature to bless those who often don’t have access to such a wealth of information. Most useful are the side boxes throughout the chapters that raise contemporary questions for those searching to apply the mysteries of the Bible to the realities of their situations. Read and be blessed!

Desire Grogan’s Revelations from the Revelation of Jesus Christ is a carefully crafted commentary that is both a close reading of the first three chapters of the book of Revelation and a highly creative one. Grogan uses the plenary inspiration method, in which the Bible is understood to interpret the Bible, with great ingenuity. Although she often refers to the Greek and occasionally to the Hebrew or Aramaic, she is always careful to provide an English transliteration. Thus, the book lives up to its sub-title: A Commentary for the Believer in the Pew.

The Rev. Desire Grogan’s Revelations from the Revelation of Jesus Christ is scholarly, insightful, and original. Rev. Grogan opens the door to the first three chapters of Revelation, making them accessible to those of us who do not know Greek and have never been to seminary. Drawing on her encyclopedic knowledge of the Bible, she grounds her interpretations in the interplay between the Old and New Testaments. Written with great clarity and great joy, Rev. Grogan’s work offers a unique and spirit-filled perspective on the messages written to the seven churches and sent to us through the corridors of time. This commentary is an excellent study guide, very helpful to “the believer in the pew.”

“Rev. Desiré P. Grogan’s gifts of interpretation and teaching combine to make Revelations from The Revelation of Jesus Christ – Chapters 1 – 3: A Commentary for the Believer in the Pew, a well-researched and comprehensive look at chapters in the final book of the bible. It provides her identified readership, the believer in the pew, with in-depth meaning of these first three chapters of Revelation. For many the book of Revelation has long been thought of as the most challenging and darkest book in the bible. Rev. Grogan’s passion for teaching Revelation and her clear and expressive writing provide clarity and light. It is that combination of clarity and light that makes this book accessible to the reader. It is also why I enthusiastically recommend Rev. Desiré P. Grogan’s Revelations from The Revelation of Jesus Christ – Chapters 1 – 3: A Commentary for the Believer in the Pew.”

“Rev. Desiré P. Grogan, in her book Revelations from the Revelation of Jesus Christ, evokes in the “believer in the pew” a heart full of gratitude. The clearly articulated overview, scriptural exploration, and interpretation of the original text expertly reveal God’s ultimate plan for His faithful servants, as articulated in John’s Revelation. This in-depth study of “the messages to the church in every generation” educates the reader through the “revelation knowledge” entrusted to the author. Using scripture to explain scripture, Rev. Grogan guides the reader to an enhanced understanding of Jesus’ reign as the ultimate judge, while yet inspiring one to live a faithful, obedient life of “patient endurance.” A must-read for any Christian wanting to fully comprehend the Revelation text.”

“If you are a believer, who has avoided reading the important Book of Revelation, because of its strange symbols and imagery, this compelling new book is a Godsend. Rev. Grogan uses clear, precise prose to reveal a sound approach to understanding not only the final book in the Bible, but she opens up the whole Bible, using, and showing the reader how to use a tool called “plenary inspiration.” This tool directs the reader to compare the word(s) found in the text under consideration with other places in Scripture where the same words are used. With her rich knowledge of the original Biblical languages, Rev. Grogan provides the truest context for letting the Bible interpret itself. This read will be my go-to guide for many years to come. Revelations from The Revelation of Jesus Christ is destined to become a classic in its field.”
